THE JOB

 

Your role will be to introduce potential advertisers to the FREE benefits of using lokol websites while also informing them about the PAID services available to further help them succeed in reaching a local audience. This is a position for a career-minded individual who wants the opportunity to join a new and growing technology company that is focused on serving communities around the world. Compensation includes base salary plus commission plus stock options.

 

ACTIVITIES

 
  • Help develop and execute sales and marketing plans.

  • Use email, telephone, and other strategies to prospect for new clients.

  • Meet with clients to understand their needs and develop advertising campaigns.

  • Deliver sales presentations and proposals for prospective clients.

  • Develop and manage relationships with advertising agencies.

  • Stay current with local competition and industry trends.

  • Close sales contracts for advertising on goCapeBreton.com and other lokol sites.

  • Follow up with clients to ensure their objectives have been met.

  • Local travel in Cape Breton Island.
     

QUALIFICATIONS
 

  • Demonstrated sales experience and enthusiasm for calling and meeting with new people.

  • Having existing relationships with potential advertisers in Cape Breton Island would be considered an asset.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and diligent follow-up focus.

  • Strong working knowledge of computers and use of social media.

  • Experience working in a team environment.

  • Valid Driver’s License and an automobile for travel in Cape Breton.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
 

  • This job is for an entry-level or mid-level career with significant opportunity for growth.
